2025 Cupcake Bake Off Champs

On February 13, we hosted a cupcake bake off challenge featuring teams from Greater Lafayette Career Academy, Harrison High School and McCutcheon High School. Teams were challenged to create a made from scratch cupcake with the following requirements:

Entries had to convey the theme: Love Letters to Lafayette as we helped the City of Lafayette celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2025.
Each team received a $100 stipend (VISA card) to use for supplies related to the competition. Ingredient requirements: Teams had to use a fruit or vegetable that is gown in Indiana or a product, for example honey or maple syrup, that is produced in Indiana. Second, our event sponsor, Primient, is the leading producer of High Fructose Corn Syrup, and teams had to use a product that contained High Fructose Corn Syrup in the cupcake decoration.

We were thrilled to award Best in Show and a $1,000 prize to GLCA 2nd Year Team for their Cinnamon Apple Cupcake.

Team Harrison was crowned People’s Choice winner for their Honey Apple Cupcake.
