A Cut Above the Rest November 2018

Grant funds of $1,180 were awarded in November. The project is centered around a machine, a Cricut Maker, that helps students have professional craftsmanship as they learn and demonstrate the engineering design process through many different projects from race cars to robots and product packaging to medical implements. The Cricut Maker can cut wood, vinyl, paper, fabric and more with razor sharp precision.

“The only limit is the students’ creativity,” says Ms. Ware. “A Cut Above the Rest involves using the Cricut Maker to enhance any and all design projects in the Engineering Techology Education classes as well as an after school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) lab and FIRST Lego League robotics teams.”
