Homegrown Connections May 2024
Building connections through people and community is a valuable skill and lesson to learn. Students will not only build connections with other students of a different age group, but they will build connections with local community members and business; a real homegrown connection. Through three activities spanning a school year, students will visit an apple orchard, make food items from local businesses, host a demonstration by Primient and grow their own tomatoes and herbs to make pizza sauce. Through these activities, high school students and kindergarten students will work together to build these connections and learn more about what is outside the classroom.
