Navigating Novels Through Economics May 2019

These photos highlight the start of a project at Burnett Creek Elementary. Katie Nail and Tami Medley are helping their second and third grade students “Navigate Novels Through Economics”. This semester long unit allows students to study economics and character point-of-view through the books The Boxcar Children and The Lemonade War. After creating display boards, the students will sell an item that they had to research, create and produce to their peers. They will use productive resources, concept of money and profit margin for this plan.
