Committed to Education License Plate
Buy a Committed to Education (Hoosier Family of Readers) license plate and proudly show your support for public education. In 1998, the state legislature created a specialty license plate related to education. A portion of the sale of each one of these plates goes to the designated public school district through the district’s education foundation.
Here’s how it works:
- Plates cost $40
- $15 goes toward administrative costs
- $18.75 goes to the designated K-12 education foundation (OR, if there is no education foundation, the dollars go to the designated local school corporation)
- $6.25 goes to the Indiana Department of Education to support elementary counseling programs
